COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE !
Rev.18 : 1 – 4
1. And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power, and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird .
3. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.
Now Babylon here is a symbol of organized religion today in every way. If you look, you can see everything that John was saying way back then is in the church today. The love of money, lying, cheating, stealing, adultery, fornication, you name it and it is there. Jesus came in the temple and made Himself a whip (John 2 ; 15 ) and drove out the merchants and turned over their tables. The house of God had become no more than a common market place where you could get anything that you desired if you catch my drift. The same is here today. Most church services are either filled with rituals, and they call this worship, or the service is filled with a program of activities. Sometimes they almost let the people get to a real plane of worship and then abruptly stop because it is running into someone else’s time. Are we there to worship the Lord or to rehearse a program? The service is controlled by the leadership instead of being controlled by the Holy Spirit. Instead of waiting on the Lord and curbing their appetite, the Israelites wanted something to worship right now. This happened when Moses delayed his return from the mountain and Aaron fashioned a golden calf to worship. So in this age we have fallen into different forms that we call worship, depending on the denomination. Instead of relying on the Lord to guide us, we get in a hurry and try to create the form by relying on our minds.This gets us into trouble almost every time Rms. 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God.
In the book of Revelation he is saying come out of all of that. Don’t be a part of a system that only brings division and death. The coming out part is more than just leaving a particular church or denomination. It has to do with what has been deposited in our very spirit. This is why the writer of Hebrews 4:1 Says, ( The Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.) No man is able to do this work, only the living word of God, spoken with true intention and love can bring that kind of revelation and release. Paul on the road to Damascus with letters to persecute the Christians found himself face to face with the Lord. From that day forward Paul was a changed man. The Lord did a deep work in His life, and at first people were still afraid of him. Paul came out of the system that held him blind and captive for so long. Paul began to build upon the things that Jesus had begun. It was different from the Old Testament and so people had to change. Grace was in place now, so, no longer did we have to make animal sacrifices. Well, this change came long and hard because we had been doing things this way for all these years and now we have to do it differently? The same thing happened when the Israelites came out of Egypt, they had to learn how to walk in a freedom that they had never known. So now you are going to learn a freedom and power that you have never known, and this is good. Stretch your faith, reach into the things of the Lord that you have only dreamed of.
We read the Bible about all the wonderful things that the people did back then. But did you ever wonder when all those things stopped? Or did they? I just didn’t see it happening in the churches that I had been in. The people in these churches would talk about miracles and healings, but it seemed like they were trying to conjure up something instead of truly believing for something real. I really do think that the Lord is beginning to redirect our thinking. For too long we have had a lack of faith attitude toward God. The Bible has become no more, to some, than just another book of children’s tales. We need to get back to where we have a fervent and violent faith before the Lord. Romans 8: 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us who can be against us? We need to stand firm on the foundation that, Heb. 11:6 says { But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that he is a rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY seek Him. } We have to move beyond the Laodicean age as in Rev.3: 14-18, they were neither hot nor cold, lukewarm is nowhere to be in today’s walk with God. This is a walk by faith, you cannot get there with your intelligence ,you cannot act the part, you have to BE the part.
1 Cor. 1:18 -29
18. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world?
21. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom;
23. But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called.
27. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things that are mighty;
28. and the base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are;
29. That no flesh should glory in His presence.
This message that I preach is not going to be accepted by the old order of things. But fresh eyes and ears will hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Even though you might have grown up in church, and have been loyal to a system that did not give a care about you. There is a light on for you, so to speak. God really cares about you. This is no joke , this is real, and the time is right.
